A hybrid pocket card

Here's a pocket card I made using the new collab kit called HOPELESSLY DEVOTED between SUGARPLUM PAPERIE and TANGIE BAXTER DESIGNS.  This is just a beautiful digital kit full of some vintage goodies.  The inside of the card pulls out using the tab for the greeting to be written on.  The rest of the credits are in my picture above so click on it to enlarge it if you can't read it.

Here's an unusual hybrid baby card I made with some scraps that I had left from a previous project. I had the circles sitting on top of each other on my desk so this idea just formed from that.

Hybrid card for WCMD

Last Saturday was World Card Making Day and I meant to post this card on here but am just getting around to it!  Over on my digi blog, I participated in a WCMD blog train with one f the digi stores I work for and 10 of us created a template and some samples of cards for people to download and or gather inspiration from, so here's my hybrid sample.

It's so easy to use up your scraps when making a card, so there's no need to do it with digital papers if you don't have them but with a card size, you can print off your digi papers on your regular printer in A4 papers or smaller.

Love Notes box & cards

Here's a peek at what I taught at my Stamp Club workshop today for Lisa.  It's from a tutorial off Splitcoast Stampers (for the box design).  The cards are the little 3x3 inch Love Notes that you can purchase with matching envelopes.  There's so much you can do with these cute little cards and they're nicely packed in a gift box tied up with ribbon.

I have used Season of Joy  and Crazy About Christmas stamp sets and the All About Christmas Jumbo Wheel.

I used Purely Pomegranate ink, Always Artichoke ink and marker, Bravo Burgundy marker, Versamark and silver ink (non-SU).

Card is Whisper White and Purely Pomegranate.  Patterned paper is from Holiday Harmony in the Spring Mini.

Additional supplies used:  Purely Pomegranate ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds, Crystal Effects, Stampin' Dimensionals, scallop circle punch, 1" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, corner rounder punch, edge distresser, Silver Embossing powder, heat gun, sponge.

Here is a hybrid card I've made using MANGO SORBET kit from Sugarplum Paperie & Andrea Burns - available at The Digi Chick.  I've used Whisper White cardstock from Stampin' Up as my base.  The rest of the papers and journalling spot are from the digital kit.  I've used Chocolate Chip & Blush Blossom inks from Stampin' Up to ink the edges of my papers to give them some depth.  I have tied some American Crafts ribbon around the card.  The two silver brads are from the Hodgepodge Hardware set available in the Stampin' Up Spring Mini on page 17.  I have then taken a Plain Janes chipboard flower and inked it in Versamark, tipped Stampin' Up Heat & Stick powder on it and heated it with a heatgun.  Straight away I tipped Doodlebug Sugar Coating glitter onto the flower and quickly heated it to set the glitter.  I've also used some Stampin' Dimensionals to give the pieces a bit of pop.

I have a friend Danielle to thank for the design of this great card.  She borrowed a few things from me and went away to the snow for a week and whipped up a card storm!  Here's the card I got my inspiration from:

It's just so beautiful.  Same ribbon I used but the patterned papers are from Crate Paper and the flourish stamp is from Autumn Leaves.

Here's a little card I whipped up tonight for the Sugarplum Paperie CT.  All the credits are in the image.

my first ever hybrid project!

This is my first hybrid project EVER for the Sugarplum Paperie CT.   I love how it came together once I printed and cut up everything.  It's so much fun getting back out the inks and cardstock that have been locked away since I started Stampin' Up demoing!  Doing these hybrid projects for Nicole will give me a chance to use some other products that I've got hidden away in my gigantic stash of goodies!
