ScrapMatters A SLICE OF LIFE blog train!

Choo choo, but my train has been delayed LOL!

For those of you who are looking for my part of the ScrapMatters blog train....it's coming but will be a few more hours before I have it up.  Some of the girls have posted their goodies already and I've noticed a few hits coming through from other blogs on the train, so I apologise that I'm not that far ahead of my commitments but it is coming.  The official kickoff will be posted on the ScrapMatters blog tomorrow morning at 2am AEDST if I've got my world time conversions correct.  There are 45 stops along this train and you will be able to collect hybrid goodies, quick pages, element clusters and wordart made from this fabulous A SLICE OF LIFE kit.  You can also receive this mega kit for free with any $15 or more purchase from the ScrapMatters store this weekend!

Christmas tree printable instore at Digiridoo Scraps!

I've just popped this cute little Christmas tree printable into my Store at Digiridoo Scraps.  And for this weekend, all our Store is 50% off (may be a few exclusions) in celebration of Digital Scrapbooking Day, so you can currently pick this up for $2.00!  I have used the fabulous CANDIED CHRISTMAS kit from Scrap'it Design to make this printable up.

You will receive 4 templates, one for each tier of the tree plus a few little embellishments to cut out and add to the top.  I've made one tree in my sample above but have popped some trim onto one to show you the difference.  I've inked the edges and glued some beads into the centre of the poinsettia and it all came together really nicely.

And did you guess that these little boxes are my cupcake bases turned upside down?  Who would have known that I could do this with them LOL.  They've all been resized to stack nicely on top of one another and a few of these lined up together in the centre of the table would look wonderful at Christmas time.

Are you sick of cupcakes yet!!

Aren't the colours of this cupcake just beautiful?  This is my latest cupcake gift box being released at ScrapMatters very shortly, so click on the image above to be taken to my store.  It is made with Stolen Moments INTO THE NIGHT kit and my cupcake box will be selling for $2.00.  I've added a little inking to the edges and a piece of purple ric rac to lift it.  Love that diamante brooch in Amber's kit too!

Loads happening in November!

Righty-o!  There is so much coming up this month as the 7th November just happens to be Digital Scrapbooking Day around the world, so there's all sort of sales, games, goodies and the like to be found in digiland!  I can't wait but better go easy on the bank account this year!

More Halloween goodies, this time in my ScrapMatters store!

You may have noticed an earlier post with the same goodies in it, but that was using another designer's goodies from Digiridoo Scraps.  This time, I'd used the fab BOOGITY BOO kit from Designs By Tater, and both our kits are available at ScrapMatters.

Same deal - two different cupcake box bottoms to fill with treats or even a cupcake.  Two different toothpick decorations and two strips of coordinating paper to use as your fringe around the top of your box.

All designed to print out on A4 paper.  High-res 300dpi JPEG files.

Halloween printable pack in my Digiridoo shop!

Looky here at what I've just popped into my shop at Digiridoo Scraps, just in time for Halloween!

I've whipped up this Halloween Pack using ONE WICKED NIGHT from Stacy's Backdoor Designs.  It's got two different cupcake box printables in there and also two different toothpick decorations.  Just print them onto A4 paper, cut out, score and decorate!

Because I'm not such a great cook, I decided to fill mine with candy and Halloween treats as you can  see in the following pictures.  We don't celebrate Halloween in Australia, but I managed to snaffle some treats and candy in one of our local department stores - there wasn't much to choose from but you get the idea of what can be done with them.

Just note, that I used paper fringes from Doodlebug Designs around the top of my boxes but I then decided to include a black strip that you can print, adhere to the top of the box then cut into a fringe if you wish to decorate them this way.  Even a scallop around the top would look good!

I have created a layout detailing some of my family's occupations in life. The layout is my sample for the September Monthly Workshop on family histories/stories. Check it out here in The Digi Chick Forums.

I created this layout back in February 2009 but never put any journalling onto it. So for this the first Every Life Has A Story workshop challenge over at The Digi Chick, I have added the journalling onto the blue circle.

I just tweaked the shadows a little and slightly moved the elements around to read the journalling but now the layout is much more meaningful to me and to my DS too.

This layout used a kit from a now retired designer - Simply Sweet Designs.
